Privacy Policy

Foke Studios ("Foke", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Foke mobile application for iOS and Android — a vertical short-drama video streaming service — and this website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Foke, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information we need to operate and improve the service:

• Account information. Your phone number, which you use to sign in with a one-time password (OTP). We do not use or store account passwords.
• Profile information. The display name or username you choose, and any optional profile details you add.
• Viewing activity. Your watch history, the series and episodes you view, and titles you like or add to your favorites.
• Device and usage data. Device identifiers, device model, operating system version, app version, push notification tokens, language, and approximate usage analytics such as screens viewed and session length.
• Crash logs and diagnostics. Technical logs generated when the app crashes or malfunctions, used to identify and fix problems.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create your account, verify your phone number, and keep you signed in.
• Provide the streaming service, including resuming playback and syncing your watch history and favorites across sessions.
• Personalize your experience, such as recommending series based on your viewing activity.
• Send push notifications about new episodes, releases, and service updates (you can turn these off in your device settings).
• Measure and analyze how the app is used so we can improve features and content.
• Show advertising, including personalized ads where permitted (see Section 4).
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run Foke. Each processes data only as needed to perform its role:

• Firebase Authentication (Google). Verifies your phone number and delivers the one-time password used to sign in.
• Firebase Analytics (Google). Collects aggregated app usage statistics and crash diagnostics.
• Supabase. Hosts our backend database, storing your profile, watch history, favorites and likes, and device tokens.
• Segment. Routes product analytics events to our analytics tools.
• UXCam. Provides session analytics that help us understand how users navigate the app and where they encounter problems.
• OneSignal. Delivers push notifications to your device.
• Google AdMob. Serves in-app advertising.
• VdoCipher. Provides secure, DRM-protected video hosting and delivery for our content.

We do not sell your personal information. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Foke Studios, our users, or others.

4. Advertising and Personalized Ads

Foke displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and other signals to show ads that are more relevant to you. You can limit ad personalization through your device settings — on Android via "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization", and on iOS via the App Tracking Transparency prompt and the "Allow Apps to Request to Track" setting. Where your platform requires consent for tracking, ads are personalized only if you allow it.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account information, profile, and viewing activity for as long as your account is active. Analytics data and crash logs are retained for limited periods set by the respective providers and are then deleted or aggregated. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

6. Account Deletion

You can delete your Foke account at any time from within the app under Settings → Delete Account, or by following the instructions on our account deletion page. Deleting your account removes your profile, watch history, favorites, and associated personal data from our systems as described in Section 5.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) between the app and our servers, OTP-based sign-in with no stored passwords, access controls on our backend, and DRM protection for video content. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard practices.

8. Children's Privacy

Foke is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. 9. International Data Transfers

Some of the service providers listed above store or process data on servers located outside your country of residence. Wherever your information is processed, we take steps to ensure it receives a level of protection consistent with this policy and applicable law.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information, such as your display name.
• Delete your account and associated personal data.
• Object to or limit certain processing, including personalized advertising.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our service or legal requirements change. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of Foke after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.

12. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or relating to this policy are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
